Free Thursday Night Pick: Week 16
December 16th 2008 by Special K
Indianapolis Colts (-6.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
If Bob Sanders plays, then take the Colts. It is as simple as that.
Consider it an early Christmas present. The Colts are a completely
different team when Sanders is in the lineup. With Sanders out against the
Lions, Browns, and Texans, the Colts failed to cover. With Sanders in against the
Steelers and Bengals, the Colts covered. Sanders is an impact player for the
Colts defense and it appears that the Colts are going all out to clinch a
wildcard playoff berth in Jacksonville Thursday night.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville is not the same team they were when they beat the Colts
in Indianapolis earlier this season. Need I mention that Bob Sanders did
not play in that game! Usually, the games played between these two opponents
is very close, but the Jaguars have simply lost too many key starters (Matt Jones,
Fred Taylor, Rashean Mathis, and the list goes on). The only players you
will recognize on the field for the Jaguars are David Garrard and Maurice
Jones-Drew.
Take the Colts and gladly give up the points Thursday Night Picks Record: 3-1-1 |
