Washington Redskins at San Diego Chargers (Over 38.5 points)

This pick completely lies in the hands of Billy Volek. Although Volek hasn't played much in the past few years, he is a more capable QB than anyone on the Redskins roster. If you are a Chargers or Colts fan, you may recall that Volek led the game winning drive at Indianapolis in the 2008 playoffs to put the Chargers in the AFC championship game. Volek came in after Philip Rivers hurt his right knee. Volek went 3 for 4 for 48 yards and then scored on a one-yard QB sneak in the 28-24 win.

Yes, the Chargers will be resting their key players like  LT, Rivers, and Jackson which is why the over/under total is only at 38.5 points. However, some of the Chargers backups could probably start on most NFL teams. Darren Sproles had three touchdowns last week against the Titans. The anemic Redskins offense should benefit from players like Shawne Merriman and Eric Weddle taking the day off. I look for both teams to easily cover this low point total.
