NFL O/U Game of the Week

Philadelphia Eagles at Oakland Raiders (OVER 40.5 points)

The Over/Under play is now 1-1 on the season. Last weekend, we lost the O/U by a single point! It was a tough one to swallow watching the Texans futile attempt at the one yard line not to mention their blocked field goal and a Cardinals fumble lost at the 2 yard line. That was 17 points left off the board.

Anyways, it is time to move on and this week I find it hard to imagine that the Eagles won't be capable of putting up 30+ points against the lowly Raiders by half time. Unlike, the East Coast games being played this weekend, weather conditions should be perfect in Oakland. 40+ points alone for the Eagles may not even be out of the question. If the Eagles do only score 30+ points, that means we may need the Raiders to actually score around 7 to 10 points in this game. Yikes, that is asking a lot of a team that has only produced 16 total points in the last 3 weeks. 

If the points don't come from the Raiders offense, surely the Eagles defense and special teams will pick up the slack for us. The Eagles pressure and blitz a QB more than any other team in the NFL. I expect to see a couple turnovers out of Russell resulting in either defensive points or great field position for the Eagles.  The O/U will really come down to the Eagles offense not turning the ball over to the Raiders when they get red zone opportunities.

Expect the boo-birds to be out in full force and I predict that this is the game that Russell gets benched and replaced by Gradkowski who might provide a little spark to the Raiders dreadful offense.
