NFL Underdog Pick for Week 11

Washington Redskins (+11) at Dallas Cowboys

The reason for this week's selection is simple - WAY TOO MANY POINTS

The Redskins, if given 11 points, would have covered every game this season with the only exception being the 14 point loss in Atlanta. For the most part, even with all the turmoil in DC, the Redskins have played in tight contests. This week's game against the Cowboys shouldn't be any different. In the Redskins/Cowboys rivalry, the last 7 out of 10 games have been decided by a TD or less. The Redskins are even 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings against Dallas.

Now that defenses have finally realized that Miles Austin is Tony Romo's #1 wide receiver, they have rolled coverage his way putting pressure on Roy Williams to beat them. After watching Williams play the last 2 seasons, can you believe the Cowboys gave up a first, third and sixth-round pick to acquire him up from the Lions? I do see Carlos Rodgers and the Redskins secondary being a liability in this game as evidenced by Brandon Marshall's long TD passes last week but if the Redskins can game plan on stopping Austin they should be ok.

The new offensive coordinator / bingo game caller seems to have the Redskins offense moving in the right direction. Ladell Betts is running hard and it looks like he has something to prove. Don't forget that Santana Moss has torched the Cowboys big time in the past.
