Pilfo's Parlay for Week 10
November 11th 2009 - Pilfo
When will people realize the Bengals are not the Bungals any more? Cincinnati's
run game is powerful which open's up the passing game for Carson Palmer who is
arguably a top 5 quarterback. Cincy's receivers are every bit as good as the
Steelers receivers and probably are better. The Bengal defense has been solid
all season. So where is the weakness? There is none. Pittsburgh is a solid team
also but a 7 point spread? This is a divisional game that will probably decide
who wins the division. Both teams will be jacked up and play hard for 60
minutes. This will be a close one.
Prediction: Bengals 20-17
San Diego is starting to hit their mid-season stride and is starting to live up
to the pre-season hype of a potential Super Bowl appearance. The Charger
offensive passing game is powerful with two 6 foot 5 inch guys who can make
tough catches anywhere on the field. The Ron Rivera lead defense has improved
and will continue to improve. The Eagles have a secondary who lack in size so I
see a mismatch on most plays.
The Eagles are a different team without Brian Westbrook and although he may play
this week, he has missed two games in a row, has missed a lot of practice and
his surgically repaired ankle is swollen again. The last time the Eagles
traveled to the west coast they were pasted by the lowly Raiders.
Prediction: Chargers 38-17
Like the Chargers, the Cowboys have hit their mid-season stride and appear
almost unstoppable on offense. The Dallas defense has really stepped up and are
living up to their potential. I don't know how the Packer offensive line will be
able to protect Rodgers and I don't know how the Packer defense will be able to
stop the Cowboy offense. This could get ugly and I would be shocked to see
Rodgers even finish the game on his feet.
Prediction: Cowboys 38-17
3 Team Parlay: Bengals +7/ Chargers -2.5/ Cowboys -2.5 |
