Pilfo's Parlay for Week 13
December 2nd 2009 - Pilfo
The Falcons are a team that plays close whether they play a poor team or a good
team. Redman is a respectable replacement for Matt Ryan (who was playing below
par anyway) and with an extra week to work with the first team in practice his
performance will only improve. The Falcons still have a good running game even
without Turner and they still have Roddy White and Gonzalez to throw to. The
defense will give up some points but the offense should keep pace also.
The Eagles have been less than stellar lately and the absence of Westbrook
really slows down the offense. The Eagles have played close games also the last
4 weeks and let's not forget the Raiders pasted the Eagles earlier in the year.
I don't see how on God's green Earth this is not a pickem game so I will take
the points. Falcons in a close one.
Prediction: Falcons 34-31
The Rams are not the best team in the NFL and arguably are one of the worst but
has anyone seen the Chicago Bears lately? Cutler leads the league in
interceptions and Matt Forte looks like he has two pulled hamstrings when he
runs. Both the offensive and defensive lines are just horrible. Lance Briggs
hurt himself again last week and the Bears in a desperation move signed
linebacker Cato June to a one year contract. The Bears crushed the Browns at
home but the Browns have ZERO talent.
The Rams have Steven Jackson who is still a superstar stuck on a poor team.
Donnie Avery is better than any Bear receiver. I believe the Rams will put up a
fight and maybe even win this game with Jackson getting about 25 touches. Lovie
may be fired before the season even ends.
Prediction: Rams 24-23
The Ravens and the Packers are fighting for the playoffs and this game is a huge
one for both. I still believe the Packers offensive line, although improved, is
still vulnerable to a good defense. The Ravens will be blitzing all night and
will get Rodgers out of rhythm causing a couple turnovers that will hurt the
Pack.
The Ravens offense with their dump-off passes to Rice will keep the chains
moving and the Packer defense on the field longer than the Packers would want.
The Ravens wear down the Pack in the 4th quarter and keep their playoff hopes
alive.
Prediction: Ravens 28-24
3 Team Parlay: Falcons +5.5 / Rams +9 / Ravens
