Pilfo's Parlay for Week 3
September 24th 2009 - Pilfo
Nobody really knows how good the Niners are this year but we all know how good
the Vikings are. The Vikings are a good solid team with good lines, a veteran Q.
B. and an all pro running back. I believe the Niners have a superior defense, an
all pro running back and an adequate Q. B. This all leads to a formula for a
close, hard-hitting, knock em, drag out battle in the dome. A battle of
unbeaten's. The spread is too big here.
Prediction: S. F. 24-23.
The Lions finally get a win. The drought is over. The Redskins can't seem to get
any positive momentum going this year. Jason Campbell is a little banged up and
has proven he is average at best. Portis is banged up and the Skins can't seem
to be able to get the ball to Santana Moss. Last week's game against the lowly
Rams really exposed the Skins as being a poor team.
The Lions have an offense this year and have opened up their game plan. Calvin
Johnson is being used as a weapon from different positions. Kevin Smith has been
solid. The defense has even played better. This game should be a cakewalk for
the lions.
Prediction: Lions 30-17.
The Seahawks have to have some of the worst injuries in the league today and
dating back to last year. They just can't field a healthy team. Hasselbeck
hurting and may not play. Multiple receivers banged up. I feel sorry for them
having to even take the field this week.
The Bears are hungry and Jay Cutler is starting to develop his receivers into a
core that can be effective. The Bears running game has been slow to develop but
the swiss cheese line that Frank Gore tore through last week just may be the
cure. The Seahawks have a tough crowd and stadium for visitors to play in but
Cutler will take the crowd out of this early with a long t.d. to Hester.
Prediction: Bears 34-10.
3 Team Parlay: SF+7/ Detroit +6.5 / Bears -2.5 |
