NFL Bargain Bets for Week 11

ATL -3 vs. STL

The final third of the NFL season is upon us and we all know what that means. Teams true colors begin to form the outlines of what will become the final playoff picture. This is when good teams become great, and mediocre teams are exposed for what they truly are.

Atlanta has worked hard, made good personnel moves, coached up their players well and are back amongst the best that the NFL has to offer. Yes, the Rams are improving and Sam Bradford is the real deal. However, they are still a few horses short.

Although I've come to hate taking road favorites, I think this one is fairly safe. The Falcons are gaining in confidence coming off a very solid performance against a quality Ravens squad and the Rams are coming off a tough road loss to the 49'ers where they gave the game away by allowing Troy Smith and Frank Gore to beat them on consecutive plays to overcome a 3rd and 32 and then convert a 4th and 18 to then tie the game and win in OT. That sucked a lot of energy out of the Rams and they will struggle to get their mojo back. Although they are fighting, they are not yet a playoff caliber.

The Falcons are healthy, have superior coaching, and are more physical than the Rams.
