New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts (Under 39.5 points)

I had the over/under at 36 points for this game, so I see value in selecting the under in this AFC Conference Championship matchup. My final score prediction is that the Colts will win 23-13.

There are only two scenarios I see playing out in this game, neither of which will result in a high scoring outcome.

Scenario 1: Colts put together long sustaining drives with Manning taking whatever the defense gives him resulting in a low scoring game. I see the Colts at most scoring 23-24 points if this happens against a Jets defense that is currently the best in the NFL. Also remember that the Colts defense was very dominant against the Jets in their first matchup. Their starters had limited the Jets to just 3 points in the first half.  

Scenario 2: The Jets pull off a major upset. This scenario isn't going to happen unless it is a low scoring game. The Jets will need to run the ball successfully limiting the number of Colts possessions. The Jets defense will need to stop the Colts in the red zone and force them into kicking field goals.
 
For the season, both teams had stellar defenses. The Jets only gave up an average 14 points per game while the Colts gave up just 18 points. The 18 point average would have been even lower if the Colts didn't rest their starters the last couple weeks.
