Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (Over 48 points)
In the last 5 matchups between the Saints and Vikings, the total points scored
has exceeded 48. Actually, in the last 8 out of 9 meetings, both teams have
combined for more than 48 points. Neither team has made any significant
offseason improvements on the defensive side that will prevent another
shootout from happening Thursday Night. In fact, both teams are going to be
playing without key defensive starters. The Vikings don't even have enough
cornerbacks to cover the Saints 4 wide receiver set and the Saints will be
without Darren Sharper. Expect another gun slinging shootout between Brett Favre
and Drew Brees to start the NFL season off.
