NFL O/U Week 4
October 1st 2010 - Special K
Houston Texans at Oakland Raiders (over 42.5 points)
Who has the #10 ranked offense in the NFL? No, it is not the Houston Texans,
they are #4. The Oakland Raiders are #10. Yes, it is true. The team that
averaged 266 yards per game in 2009 is now averaging over 350 yards per game
this season. Hue Jackson, who helped develop Joe Flacco, has done an amazing job
in turning around this Raiders offense. The Raiders offense moved the ball
up and down the field against the Cardinals last week with Bruce Gradkowski at
the helm. They just need to get a little better red zone production this week
and this game will surely exceed 42 points.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (Over 46.5 points) The Patriots
are the #1 scoring offense in the NFL and have hit the over on their first 3
games. There is not a whole lot you can do to slow down Brady and his entourage.
The Patriots will be airing it out Monday because they don't even have any
running backs left on the roster to hand the ball off to. Mark Sanchez threw for
3 TD's last week against the Dolphins. I would expect Brady to do the same or
more. The Patriots defense is giving up nearly 28 points per game. The Pats D
might be one of the worst defenses Bill Belichick has ever coached. Chad Henne
was finally starting get his groove on with Brandon Marshall last weekend
against the Jets. The Jets had no answer for Marshall and neither will the
Patriots defense. The Patriots struggled to contain Marshall while he was in
Denver. He scored 2 TD's in their surprise victory over the Patriots last
season. I love the over in this one. |
