NFL O/U Week 5
October 9th 2010 - Special K
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers (under 33.5 points)
Who is going to score in this football game besides Devin Hester returning a
punt for a TD? That's right, there are no playmakers on either team. Jay Cutler
is out with a concussion after being tossed around like a rag doll by the
Giants. Steve Smith, the only good wideout the Panthers had is out. Plus the
Panthers kicked Dwayne Jarrett, their 2nd WR, off the team after he got another
DWI. The Panthers are already the league's worst team in scoring only averaging
11.5 points per game. Combine this with a Bears team who only averaged 17 points
per game with Cutler starting equates to an easy UNDER cover.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills (Over 41 points) I'd consider the
under in this game if it were late November or early December in Buffalo when
the weather conditions are normally terrible but the weather in Buffalo will be
sunny and 70 degrees on Sunday. I expect Maurice Jones Drew to break at least
one long TD run against the leagues worst rush defense. The Bills have been
giving up 174 yards per game on the ground. The Jaguars defense isn't much
better, ranked 30th in total yards given up. I look for Fred Jackson to have a
big game as well. This game easily goes over 41 points. |
