NFL Underdog Pick for Week 6 October 15th 2010 - Special K
Baltimore Ravens (+3) at New England Patriots
I actually had the Ravens favored by a field goal in this matchup so this was a
relatively easy underdog pick of the week. The Patriots do have Tom Brady and
Bill Belichick which is good enough to beat most mediocre NFL teams. However,
the Ravens are one of elite teams this season. Joe Flacco and Ravens offense
will expose the #29 ranked defense this weekend. Believe or not, even the
Buffalo Bills defense have allowed less yards per game than the Patriots. The
Patriots will be focused on stopping Ray Rice, so I expect Flacco to make some
big plays downfield.
The Ravens bring the 3rd ranked defense to Foxboro against a Randy Moss-less
Patriots team. Without any sort of running game, the Patriots are completely one
dimensional just like the Broncos were last weekend against the Ravens. The
Ravens dominated. Get ready for the Boston media to start hammering the
Patriots on trading their only deep threat away to the Vikings as the Patriots
will struggle putting points on the board.
Here are highlights of the 2009 AFC WildCard game between the Ravens and
Patriots. The final result of this week's game will be similar to last year's playoff
game.
Take the Ravens plus the points
