New England Patriots (+3) at San Diego Chargers

How in the world are the San Diego Chargers favored in this matchup? Is it because an East coast team has to travel west? Maybe because the Chargers have the #1 ranked offense and #2 ranked defense? A must win game for the Chargers? Just because it is a must win doesn't mean a thing in the NFL. The Patriots would like nothing more than to bury the Chargers. They have the killer instinct to put teams away, just ask the Titans who the Patriots beat 59-0 last year. The Chargers are in complete disarray thanks to some poor decisions made by their general manager. The loss of LT and Cromartie have obviously impacted the team but the handling of Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeil has been a major distraction.

The Chargers come into this game with a banged up Antonio Gates, no Malcolm Floyd and probably no Naanee, and an offensive line that got abused by the Rams. To be honest, the Patriots defense isn't better than the Rams but should be good enough to cover #1 WR Patrick Crayton. Honestly, the league should forgive the 3 game suspension and allow the Chargers to suit up Vincent Jackson for this game.
