Pilfo's Parlay Week 6
October 15th 2010 - Pilfo
Pitt - 13.5 / NY Jets - 3 / Tenn -3
This Pittsburgh game could be the most lopsided game all year on the front
end. Big Ben comes back and reports say he is looking sharp as nails. Ben will
be looking to throw a few passing t.d's this week to prove he hasn't missed a
beat so keep Mike Wallace active in those fantasy leagues. Mendy will dominate
the running game early and late in this game. The Pitt defense will feast on
rookie Colt McCoy's NFL debut. It almost isn't fair to get McCoy's NFL career
off to a brutally poor start but that is Mangenius' decision. I would put Cribbs
in at QB as my sacrificial lamb this week and save McCoy's debut for later. The
Steeler's will look to avenge their game against the 1-11 Browns late last year
in which the Brownies actually won. Cleveland's Hillis is banged up and the
Browns will not even try to catch up in this game and risk injury to McCoy after
they are down 21-0.
Prediction: Pitt. 38-0
The Jets are REAL! The Jets have shown they can play all 3 phases of
football. I have been amazed at their gutty play-calling which shows confidence
in Sanchez. The Jets really do not have a weakness. They should be able to both
run and pass at will on the Denver defense. Denver has been an amazing team this
year but not really a good team. The Bronco running game is non-existent and the
passing game puts up a lot of yards but not a lot of points. Rex considers this
a game as important as beating New England since McDaniels is a protégé from the
Pats. Lay the points on the road. Jets outclass the Broncos.
Prediction: Jets 31-20
The Titans are a solid team and believe it or not this game is being played
for first place in the AFC South. The Titans outclass the Jags who were on the
brink of disaster just a few weeks ago. The Jags have put together game plans
that worked the last two weeks but Fisher will outcoach Del Rio de Janiero in
this one. Vince Young will outplay Garrard in this one. CJ2K will outplay MJD,
who has a wrist injury, and the Titan receivers will outplay the Jags poor
receivers. Titans too tough.
Prediction: Tenn. 24-16
