NFL O/U Plays for Week 3
September 23rd, 2011 - Special K
In 2011, we are off to a solid start nailing 4 out of 5 picks (80%) so far.
I can't seem to pick games so far in 2011, but my O/U picks are money.
Baltimore Ravens at St Louis Rams (Over 42 points)
High scoring games have been the trend so far in the first two weeks of the 2011
season. Let's hope that trend continues this week as both my picks are over. The
Rams are one of the worst red zone scoring teams I have ever watched. They
manage to get down to the 1 yard line and settle for field goals all the time.
If they can punch one or two TD's in this week against the Ravens, the over hits
easily. Josh McDaniels likes to play with urgency and a faster tempo. Look for
the Rams to score more than their usual 3 FG's and 1 TD this week. I also expect
Flacco and the Ravens offense to perform better than last week in Tennessee.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Over 45 points)
The offenses are much better than the defenses in this game. If we can avoid
bad weather, this game will be high scoring. The Falcons defense gives up nearly
30 points per game and the Bucs defense isn't much better. We just need the Bucs
offense to start scoring in the first half instead of waiting until the end of
the game.
