NFL Best Bets for Week 10
November 10th 2012 - Old Man Winner
Hou +1 @ Chi
Da Bears defense has been killing it - they have scored more touchdowns on
interceptions returned than three teams have scored passing (Mia, Car ,and KC).
That's crazy! However, that pace cannot be sustained. This week they run into a
team that knows how to protect the ball. Check out these stats (NFL rank) for
the Texans this year: only 1 fumble (#1), 5 interceptions thrown (#3), and 10
sacks given up (#2).
The Texans will try to establish the run early and frustrate the Bears defense
by not providing many ball hawking opportunities. If the Texans can manage to
keep their turnovers to two or less they should be able to manage the Bears,
because I do not think that Cutler can manage his. We haven't seen him blow-up
lately and that means he is waaaaay overdue. Tongue in cheek Texans Defensive
Coordinator, Wade Phillips, promised to double team Brandon Marshall on every
play. As much as he said he was kidding, I don't think he was. Take away
Marshall from the Bears offense and they will not be able to "matriculate" down
the field.

Det -2 @ Min
Detroit is finally starting to click on offense. They will be playing
indoors on a fast track with superior speed. Minnesota, on the other hand is
beat up. Harvin will likely not play and AP has been sick this week. Ponder is
digressing. As long as the Viking pass rush doesn't force Stafford into stupid
turnovers (which is always possible), I see Detroit running away (literally)
with this one. Look for rookie WR Broyles to have his breakout game.

I also like the UNDER (26 1/2) in the first half of the Buffalo/NE game and the
UNDER (48) of the SD/TB game.
