NFL Best Bets for Week 15
December 15th 2012 - Old Man Winner
NE -4.5 vs. SF
What do you like? Trends in your favor? Better Coaches? Better QB's?
Scoring? I'm from the bay area and am a 9ers fan, but this week all arrows point
to the Patriots!
The last time the New England Patriots lost a home game in December Pat Tillman
was still fighting . . . . for the Arizona Cardinals. Now that is a trend! We
all know that with Bill Belichick December is the time to be honing perfection.
I think we all caught a little glimpse of that on Monday night against what was
supposed to be a Super Bowl contender. That game was over before you could say,
"Deion Branch replaces Donte Stallworth who replaced Deion Branch."
You like better coaches? Who doesn't? Everyone is crowning Jim Harbaugh as the
next . . . . well, Bill Belichick maybe. If your name is being used to complete
that sentence you've probably been around the block a few more times than the
guy they are comparing you to. Gimme The Sweatshirt.
You like to have the better QB when you've got jelly beans on the line? OK, how
about a 4 time Super Bowl champ and a multi-year league MVP award winner over an
upstart redshirt freshman QB with two NFL starts under his belt? C'mon this
one's not even in the same galaxy. Don't get me wrong, Colin Kaepernick has
potential, but is he really ready for the hoodie in prime time in New England in
December?
How 'bout offense? How 'bout a team that can use their offense to overcome just
about any defensive shortcoming. Did you know that New England has scored almost
twice the points that SF has over the last 8 games (38 vs 21) and is averaging
42.5 pts/game over their last 6 trips? Now that's offensive!
We will see what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object
this Sunday night. Bet with me and may the force be with us!
