NFL Underdog Pick for Week 16
December 22nd 2012 - Special K
Minnesota Vikings (+7.5) at Houston
Texans
The Vikings come into this matchup averaging 150+ yards on the ground. There's
just no stopping Adrian Peterson, I don't care how many defenders you throw in
the box. The Texans have the 5th ranked rush defense in the NFL but their best
linebacker will be playing with a cast on his finger. That spells trouble. Even
Vick Ballard was able to rush for over 100 yards against the Texans last week. I
like All Day's chances to put up some good rushing stats this week against the
Texans and keep this game competitive.
The Vikings have been one of the most underrated teams all season and 7.5 points
is too many to be laying in this spot. The Vikings also get a boost on their
defense this week with Chris Cook coming back from injury. He should be able to
keep the red hot Andre Johnson in check.
Take the Vikings and the points
