NFL Underdog Pick for Week 17
December 28th 2012 - Special K
Philadelphia Eagles (+7.5) at New York
Giants
For the record, the Giants still have a long shot at making the playoffs. The
Bears, Vikings, and Cowboys will all have to lose and the Giants will need to
beat the Eagles. The Giants season for all practical purposes is over. The
Giants defense has been an embarrassment the last few weeks against both the
Ravens and Falcons. Flacco picked on Webster all game last week and the Giants
defensive front hasn't been able to get any QB pressure whatsoever. Now Osi is
talking about the probability of not returning to the Giants and Chris Canty is
headed for IR. The defense is falling apart and the offense keeps struggling.
Eli and Nicks have no chemistry and opposing teams have figured out how to
bottle up Cruz. Domenik Hixon has been the Giants leading wide receiver
the last two weeks.
Even though Michael Vick says he is not auditioning for a starting QB position
next year, we all know he is. Vick will get the start in the Eagles grand
finale. This game will be a win one for the gipper moment as Andy Reid will most
likely be coaching the Eagles for the last time.
For those of you who like trends, the Eagles are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 football
games in New York. The Eagles have also won all 5 of those games straight up.
The Eagles are 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings against the Giants.
Take the Eagles to win outright
