NFL Underdog Pick for Week 3
September 21st 2012 - Special K
Denver Broncos (+1.5) vs Houston Texans
The Houston Texans couldn't have been happier
to see Peyton Manning leave the Colts and now they end up playing against him
again in week 3. Peyton Manning has an all time record of 16-2 against the
Texans. His familiarity with the Texans is one of the big reasons I like the
Broncos this weekend.
I look forward to watching Peyton Manning operate against the #1 defense in the
league. The Texans defense are ranked #1 in points allowed, total yards allowed,
passing yards allowed, 3rd down conversions, and time of possession on defense.
Manning and the Broncos are still working through the growing pains but they
started to show some continuity at the end of the Falcons game last week.
The Broncos defense isn't too shabby either. They have been tough against the
run, Houston's strength, only allowing 71 yards per game (ranked 7th). I like to
Broncos to sneak out with a close win.
Take the Broncos at home in a slight upset
