NFL Underdog Pick for Week 8
October 26th 2012 - Special K
Miami Dolphins (+2.5) at New York Jets
Ok, so I don't believe in Joe Flacco after
last week's Ravens blowout loss to the Texans. I thought Flacco had turned the
corner but he reverted back to the same old Joe. Let me tell you a QB that has
turned the corner and his name is Ryan Tannehill. I've been so impressed with
the poise and confidence this rookie has shown so far this season. Let's take a
quick look at a player comparison between Sanchez and Tannehill.

Tannehill has a much better completion % with one
less interception. If you factor out the 3 interceptions Tannehill threw in week
1 against the Texans, he does a great job taking care of the football.
Meanwhile, Sanchez has done very well against the teams with a sub-par defense (Bills,
Colts, and NE). Against teams with good defenses (Hou, Pit, Mia, and SF),
Sanchez has a less than 50% completion percentage and has thrown only 3 TD's vs
5 interceptions.
Miami will shut down the Jets rushing attack (Dolphins are ranked 4th against
the run) forcing Sanchez to win the game. We already know the outcome when this
situation has occurred in the
past. The Dolphins should have beaten the Jets in Miami the first time around.
This time they make the necessary adjustments coming off a bye week. Reggie Bush
should have a good day on the ground.
Take the Dolphins to win outright
