NFL Best Bets for Week 4
September 28th 2013 - Old Man Winner
Was -3 vs. Oak
Yes, for those who have asked. Yes, I am off the drugs that I was taking
during the writing of my article last week! Sheesh - taking the Giants last week
and having them get trounced, 38-0. Now that was embarrassing. However, the good
news is that all of that bad advise left my system in one week. So, I should be
good for the rest of the year.
OK, I have two words for you in deciding the best matchup of the week - Matt
Flynn. He will be taking the starting reins from Terelle Pryor, who has a
concussion. Flynn couldn't beat out Pryor for the starting gig in Oakland this
year although the team brought him in to do just that. Does that story ring a
bell? It should. The same thing happened to him last year when the Seahawks paid
dearly to bring him to Seattle only to be beaten out by Russell Wilson.
Washington is better than their record. They can put up points. RG III, although
he still does not look 100%, is one of only three QB's who has thrown for 300
yards in each of his first three games this year. Yes, their defense is not very
good, but there is no way the Raiders should be able to stay with the Redskins
in a shootout.
I see the 'skins getting healthy here and back in the NFC East race.
