NFL O/U Plays for Week 14
December 5th, 2013 - Special K
Minnesota Vikings at Baltimore Ravens (Over 42.5 points)
I am dumbfounded as to why the point total is so low in this football game. Last
week was the first time that the Vikings (11-2 O/U) went under the total since
the Freeman fiasco. The Vikings offense is so much more efficient with Cassel
under center. The Vikings defense gives up big plays every week and Flacco is
great at throwing the deep. Plus the Vikings D will wear down from playing two
consecutive overtime games. This is my favorite O/U pick of the week.
Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Over 43 points)
I had the Bills and the over last week against Atlanta and I like them again
to go over the point total against the Bucs. The Bills have a surprising 8-4 O/U
record. Both teams have decent defenses but I see each team is more than capable
of scoring in the 20s. I like the over.
Oakland Raiders at New York Jets (Under 40.5 points)
Since the bye week, the Jets are averaging less than a TD per game. They
will bounce back against the Raiders but I expect this to be your typical ground
and pound game for the Jets. The Raiders don't have any weapons on offense to
put pressure on the Jets. The Raiders defense has played well at times. I like
the under.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints (Over 46 points)
The over has covered in the last 4 meetings between these teams. The Saints
offense will bounce back after that tough loss in Seattle. Cam will be just as
difficult as Russell Wilson to contain for the Saints defense. I like the over.
