NFL Best Bets for Week 4
September 27th 2014 - Old Man Winner
Ind -7.5 vs. Ten
I usually don't like having the same team in my best bet two weeks in a row, but
this week seems too easy. You can take Indy this week and get into the
collection ticket line early while you watch the game.
Mark this week on your calendar as the date that Andrew Luck truly arrived into
the status of elite quarterbacks in the NFL. We all knew he'd get here, it was
only a matter of time. Last week he put up monster numbers, albeit against the
Jags. He leads the league in touchdown throws, with 9, and this week he gets a
team that we had on the losing end in our successful best bet article last week,
the Titans.
The Titans defense is not as bad as the Jags defense, that the Colts dropped a
44 spot on last week, but its close enough.
We haven't even mentioned that Titans quarterback, Jake Locker, is highly
questionable to even play in this game with a wrist issue. He hasn't practiced
all week, and if he can't go, we'll see the juggernaut that is Charlie
Whitehurst. If that is not enough, the Titans also have rushing issues. When you
go through the off-season/pre-season and identify Shonn Greene as your best RB,
that doesn't speak too highly of your rushing potential. Soon they'll figure out
that Bishop Sankey is their better option, but don't hold your breath it will be
this week, or that it would make a difference.
C'mon, really, Charlie Whitehurst???
Two weeks in a row we're rolling against the Titans. This one will be over
early!
Ind 34 Ten 10
