NFL Best Bets for Week 7
October 18th 2014 - Old Man Winner
Indy -3 vs. Cincy
When you have the #1 offense in the league against the #28 defense, you would
expect that match-up to likely fetch a double digit spread, but for some reason,
the Colts seem to be this year's Rodney Dangerfield. They are getting no
respect. What does Andrew Luck need to do to prove he is now a top 3 QB in this
league, maybe even top 2. With every week that passes by he looks more and more
like his predecessor, only much more mobile.
With respect to Cincy's offense, they will be without their best player on the
field, AJ Green. And, Indy's defense is underrated as well. They are ranked in
the top quarter of the league in sacks, interceptions, forced fumbles, and
recovered fumbles.
I do expect Cincy to run a little bit on the Colts, but Indy's offense will be
just too much for a down-trending Cincy defense. And if you are a trend watcher,
here are a few to support this pick also:
Favorite is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
Home team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
Colts are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Bengals are 3-6-1 ATS in their last 10 road games
Indy 31 Cincy 20
