Oakland Raiders (+7) at Cleveland Browns
If the Raiders have one chance all year to win a football game, this is the week
to do it against the Cleveland Browns. The Jaguars faced the same scenario last
week when they knocked off the Browns. After coming off a huge win against
Pittsburgh the prior week, the Browns were flatter than Giselle's stomach. You
know that feeling when you get the shanks in golf, that's what Hoyer looked like
trying to complete passes against the Jags last week. I have unlocked the Browns
identity this year. The Browns are simply a
team that plays down to weaker competition and plays better against tougher
opponents.
Also, in what world should the Browns be a 7 point favorite against anyone?
I checked our database to see when the Browns were 7+ point favorites. Last
year, they were 7 point favorites against the Jags and lost. Before that game,
the last time they were 7+ favorites was back in 2010, when they were 10.5 point
favorites against the Panthers and squeaked out a 1 point win.
I don't care how bad the Raiders have looked this year, they are due.
