Yes, I am aware that the Eagles have won 7 out of 8 games and the Saints are 3-5
on the road this year losing the last 3 they played on the road. However, the
Saints did lose 3 of their road games to Carolina, Seattle, and New England. The
Saints would be 4-4 if not for that Brady miracle TD pass with no time left. The
Eagles are only 4-4 at home this year.
Listen throw away home field and the weather factor, this underdog pick for me this week simply comes down to experience.
Sean Payton is 5-3 in the postseason and Drew Brees has been involved in 18
playoff games. Nick Foles and Charles Kelly have zero NFL playoff experience.
For the Eagles, you could look at last week's game against the Cowboys as a
playoff game. I was not impressed at all by the Eagles performance against
Dallas. Other than the interception that ended the game, Orton, a QB who hasn't
played a game in 2 years, had his way with the Eagles defense. The Cowboys tight
ends combined for 152 receiving yards. Imagine what Jimmy Graham is going to do
on Saturday night. Foles appeared tentative in crunch time and Kelly is one of
the worst time management coaches I have seen. In a close and tight
football game, I really like the Saints chances more than the Eagles.
