NFL Best Bets for Week 5
October 11th 2015 - Old Man Winner
Cincinnati -3 vs Seattle
Wash, Rinse, Repeat
When you find a formula that works for you, you go with it. That is what we are
doing this week.
If you recall our winning Best Bet pick last week it was really a pick against
the Chiefs, mainly due to the schedule. They were coming off a physical road
game on a Monday night and were having to travel across the country to face a
quality Cincy team. Guess what?
Wash, Rinse, and Repeat
The Seahawks played a tough, physical game against the Lions on Monday night.
This week they have to travel across country on a short week and play another
physical team on the road. It just so happens to be Cincy two weeks in a row. We
also have a couple more facts that make it a little more palatable to bet
against the team that was one play away from being a Super Bowl champion.
The Seahawks are not the same team on the road. They don't have their vaunted
12th man. Wilson stats prove this out. This week the hawks will also be without
arguably their best player - Marshawn Lynch, and their offensive line is a shell
of what it was last year.
Cincy, on the other hand, is playing good ball right now. The have a balanced
offense that is not turning the ball over and their defense has been . . . good
enough.
I see this one being very similar to the game last week. Seattle will be able to
hang tough for about a half before wilting.
