NFL Best Bets for Week 7
October 24th 2015 - Old Man Winner

There's no place like home. There's no place like home.
That is what the Ravens must be saying. The scheduling gods did not look too
kindly upon them this year. This is Baltimore's fifth road game out of the first
seven, and four of those have taken them across the country, including last week
to SF and this week back to Arizona. They are tired and are playing like it,
especially defensively, and especially against the pass. Unfortunately for the
Ravens, that is exactly what Arizona does well.
For the Cardinals, they were on a roll until they dropped an egg last week at
Pittsburgh. Bruce Arians took that one hard against his old team and will have
his guys fired up for this one on prime time. Carson Palmer today was quoted as
saying that he thinks John Brown is the fastest player in the NFL. Brown should
get at least one long TD, if not a couple. Defensively, if Patrick Peterson can
take away Steve Smith, what other weapons do the Ravens have? Forsett is
questionable as well, and may not even play. Who will emerge that you can count
on? Kamar Aiken? Javorious Allen? Max Williams? Seriously?
I think the Cardinals throw early and often, and deep, again and again. They
will wear down the Falcon secondary that is already tired. I see them running
away with this one early. I just can't see a scenario that doesn't include the
Cardinals hanging at least a 30-spot on the Ravens, and possibly more. And, with
a physical Cardinal defense, I just don't see how the Ravens can keep up.
Let's play fantasy bingo - check these off as they occur during the game:
Cardinals pick 6, long John Brown TD, short Larry Fitzgerald TD, long Chris
Johnson run, Flacco sack, Flacco fumble, Cardinal punt return, and Steve Smith
getting into a fight. BINGO!
By the end of the game I expect the Ravens players to be clicking their heels
together in unison and chanting, 'there's no place like home.'
