NFL Best Bets for Week 15

That's right. You're getting an early Christmas gift with two games from me this
week. I skipped a week back in week #7 so I am making it up to you here.
I like two road favorites in the afternoon games this week. Let's start with the
Patriots on the road.
It's late in the season, the weather is cold, and it's crunch time for locking
down playoff seeds. That means its "go" time for the New England Patriots.
Rarely do they lay an egg late in the season when they are trying to wrap up the
#1 seed in the AFC, and they won't this time. Not against an inexperienced
quarterback with a below average offensive line. Make no mistake, Denver has a
good defense, they will put some pressure on Brady like they did in the playoffs
last year. However, this year, the Broncos have even less offensively than they
had last year. I like the Pats to play a conservative game and win the turnover
battle and thus, the game.

I also like the Raiders on the road, but for some very different reasons. It's
not necessarily what I like about the Raiders this week as much as it is what I
don't like about the Chargers. They are very, very banged up and that usually
translates into Rivers turning the ball over, something he has done all too
often this year. Face it, with all their injuries along with all the talk about
them moving the franchise to L. A., no one is focused on football in that
organization. I expect the game to be close for the first half and then for
Rivers to start to get antsy and throw into coverage during crunch time. The
Raiders need to win to stay in the seeding hunt and they have the players with
the will to do it.
