NFL Best Bets for Week 2
September 15th 2016 - Old Man Winner
Oak -4.5 vs. Atl
Our Pylon Picks crushed last week!!! I hope you were paying attention. As a
collection of experts our picks cashed at a 69% clip - and that's against the
spread. Not bad, eh? All well and good, but I know, I know, what have I done for
you lately, right? Well, here's your second gift wrapped pick of the season
already.
Yes, it's looking like the Oakland franchise may soon be playing in Vegas, but
until then expect the rabid Raider Nation fans to turn out and support a young,
exciting, and improving team. If you thought the Saints defense looked bad last
week, did you see the Falcons defense. It got LIT UP by a Bucs offense playing
on the road. In my not-so-humble opinion, the Raiders have a better offensive
line, a better running back, a deeper set of receivers, and at least an
equivalent QB facing an east coast team traveling across country that puts zero
pressure on the quarterback (zero sacks last week and a league low 19 sacks all
of last year).
OK, so the Raiders will give up some points, but don't expect it too be many.
The Falcons on the road often struggle and they are nothing like the juggernaut
that the Saints are at home, where the Raiders took care of business last week
in a hostile environment.
I expect Cooper and Crabtree to have their way with a very weak Atlanta
secondary.
