NFL Best Bets for Week 3
September 23rd 2016 - Old Man Winner
Dal-7 vs. Chi
The Bears are, to use my uncle's words (huge Bears fan), "a freaking train
wreck."
Offensively, I just don't see how they put up more than 10 points in this game .
. . frankly any game. Cutler is out, and although I don't think Hoyer is much
worse, if at all, I don't think he's any better. Jeffery continues to struggle
to stay healthy and even if he plays he certainly won't be 100%. On the other
side, Kevin White hasn't showed us anything yet. Never understood the hype
there. He looks like a JAG (just another guy) to me. And, let's face it, Eddie
Royal and Zach Miller don't scare anyone. Oh, so maybe they can run the ball
then? Uhhh . . . NO! 68 yards a game NO! Their Oline is banged up and the
Cowboys have been waiting to beat up on a soft team at AT&T stadium in Dallas.
Still can't believe they have a Victoria Secret inside the stadium, but I
digress. Cheerleaders . . . Big Hair . . . Big - - - OK OK. Jerry Jones
<chuckle> the guy cracks me up.
Look, Dak Prescott is for real. He looks the part; Great pocket presence,
understands the offense, can work through his progressions, and is a big boy
with some legs (legs, that reminds me of . . Dallas stadium again).
Impressive for a young guy in only a couple of pro games. He should be able
to pad his stats this week, but the guy I'm really looking to have his
breakout day is Ezekiel Elliott. He's had a rough go of it in his first
couple of NFL starts, but I see this as the one that gets him off the schnide!
Zeke gets close to 30 touches and shows everyone why he was the 4th pick in
the draft.
