Houston Texans (+6) at
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts haven't been favored by more than 4.5 points in any football game all
year. Back in week 5, the Colts were favored by 4.5 against the lowly Bears in a
home game. Now, for some reason, Vegas has the Colts favored by 6 points
against the Texans in a football game that will most likely determine who wins
the division and goes to the playoffs.
Are we looking at an over reaction to how the Colts played on Monday Night?
Monday Night's game was definitely a reflection of the Jets not showing up more
than the Colts dominating.
Is it because the Texans haven't won a game on the road all year?
Valid point, which is why I had this game handicapped with Indy as a 3 to 3.5
point favorite.
Luck vs Brock?
No debate here, Luck is the better QB here but the Texans strength is their pass
defense.
The Colts have no running game whatsoever so they will rely on Luck making big
plays in the passing game, nothing new here.
One big reason why I think this game is going to be close is because the Colts
have lost D’Qwell Jackson to suspension. Jackson is their defensive play caller
and also their leading tackler. That is a big void to replace on a shortened
week. As long as the Texans are able to have some success on the ground, this
game will probably come down to Mr. Clutch kicking a field goal to win the game.
