Washington Redskins (+4.5) at
New York Giants
The Washington Redskins come into the MetLife Stadium 0-2 after losing two
straight home games. The Redskins didn't play well in either one of those two
football games. Meanwhile, the Giants squeaked by and won their two
football games by a combined 4 points. Yet, somehow Vegas has the G-Men favored
by 4.5 points. I don't buy it.
Don't be fooled by the Giants 2-0 record. The Cowboys outplayed the Giants for
most of the game in week 1 but had to settle for three field goals early on. The
Giants victory last week against the Saints was not that impressive either.
At the end of the Cowboys game, Cousins was starting to look like the QB from
last year. I expect him to carry that momentum into this week's game
against the Giants. The Redskins defense also matches up better against
the Giants. The Redskins defense had to face the two best offensive lines
in the Pittsburgh and Dallas. The Giants offensive line is not even close.
Beckham will get his catches against Josh Norman but the Giants won't be able to
exploit the Redskins weak rushing defense.
As Trump would say, that's a HUUUUUUUUUGE amount of points to be giving a
desperate team in the Redskins.
