NFL Best Bets for Week 4
September 29th 2017 - Old Man Winner
New York Giants +3 at Tampa Bay Bucs
So what could make one excited to take an 0-3 team getting 3 points on the
road . . . and feeling giddy? This one has flashing arrows with the words, "pick
me, pick me" written all over it. Let's laundry list the reasons:
- Beckham is getting healthy and may be getting close to 100%
- Giants must win if they want any shot to make the playoffs, or win the
division
- Eli plays better on the road than at home
- TB's defense is completely banged up with several out and many questionable
- Doug Martin is still out on suspension
- TB is the worst team in the NFL against the pass (OK, 1 yd away from the
worst)
- All of the Giants receivers are healthy
- TB defense is really great against the run . . . who cares? the Giants may not
even run the ball once
- TB strength on offense is throwing the ball which is Giants strength on
defense
- TB's weakness on offense is running the ball which is Giants weakness on
defense
- The Giants have yet to intercept a pass in their first 3 games - that is an
anomoly and will change this week
- The Giants haven't lost against the spread in their last 4 games at Raymond
James stadium
It's REALLY hard to predict when Eli is going to have a good game, but this one
sets up perfectly for him.
I expect Beckham to have at least two scores, possibly three. The Giants will
get their first interception of the year, and it could be a pick 6.
