NFL Best Bets for Week 8
October 28th 2017 - Old Man Winner
Cin -10 vs. Ind
Last week we nailed the pick calling for the trouncing of the 49'ers by
Dallas. This week its the Colts turn to get drubbed.
Ten points may feel like a lot, but just like last week's game, once a superior
team gets a sizeable lead against a team that cannot move the ball, its like a
snow ball rolling down a hill. Witness the Thursday night game where the Ravens
got a good lead then got two pick 6's when the defense could pin its ears back
and come after the QB. This game has the same feel.
The records of these two teams look very similar (Cin 2-4 and Indy 2-5), but
that couldn't be more misleading. Indy's two wins were both by 3 points to the
only two winless teams remaining in the league (SF and Cle). While the Bengals
have beaten a solid Buffalo team and crushed that same Browns team 31-7.
Cincy's defense is getting healthy and should rip this oline to pieces and their
offense will be too much for a pedestrian Indy def to handle. I expect AJ Green
to have a HUGE game and rookie speedster John Ross looks to get back on the
field this week and I wouldn't be surprised to seem him get a long TD as well.
Once the game is solidly in the bag I think we'll see the rookie Joe Mixon pound
away to salt the victory while racking up some very healthy numbers of his own.
I also expect the Bengals to likely have a couple of picks in the second half
possibly taking one to the house.
Don't be afraid of the big spread!
Cin 36 Indy 10
