San Diego Chargers (+4) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Sure, I am aware that the Jags are the number one scoring defense in the NFL
right now. Yes, the Jags have registered 10 sacks in 2 games so far this year
but let's not underestimate the LA Chargers. The only cupcake team that the
Chargers have played so this year are the Giants. Sure the Chargers have a 3-5
record but their point differential is only -2. The Chargers are a much better
team than their record indicates.
The Jags strength of schedule is nowhere near that of the Chargers so far this
year so let's not crown them AFC champs just yet.
I like the fact the Chargers are coming off a bye and are always in tight games
all the way. While the Jags do have the better defense, the Chargers have more
weapons on offense and I trust Rivers more than Bortles to get the job done in a
close game. The Chargers have been in every game they have played so far this
year with their worst loss coming against NE.
The Chargers have won 6 in a row against the Jags both SU and ATS. Like the
Chargers, the Jags don't really have much of a home field advantage, the Jags
are only 2-2 at home.
