Buffalo Bills (+12.5) at New England Patriots
I've never been one to fade the Patriots but listen 12.5 points against a team
that is currently a wild card team and motivated to make the playoffs is way too
many points. Plus, the Patriots are coming off 3 straight road games and a
football game that had a playoff atmosphere in Pittsburgh which they
miraculously survived.
The Bills lost a few weeks back to the Patriots 23-3 in a game where Taylor
tossed a red zone interception and got injured midway through the game.
Otherwise, that game would have been much closer. The Bills defense didn't allow
Brady to throw any touchdowns and frustrated Brady enough to throw a tantrum at
McDaniels. The Bills defense has been pretty stout in the last 4 weeks only
giving up 14 points per game.
I expect the Bills offense to put up more than 3 points in this football game against a
Patriots defense that seems to have regressed again. The loss of runstopper Alan
Branch is a big one for New England. McCoy averaged 6+ yards a carry in that
loss in Buffalo and should do the same this week. The Bills can't fall behind so
that McCoy can get more than 13 carries this time around.
