NFL Underdog Pick Week 3
September 22nd 2017 -
Special K
Jacksonville Jaguars (+4) vs Baltimore Ravens
Yes, I know that I am risking my underdog of the week pick on the Jaguars
again this week. I know Bortles has been a complete disaster at QB this year and
was a big reason why the Jaguars lost at home against Tennessee last week.
Listen, the final score last week doesn't indicate how close a game it really
was against the Titans. It was a touchdown difference midway through the 3rd
quarter. Alright enough, onto the Ravens game.
1. The London games aren't that easy to get adjusted to and there are many
distractions. The Jaguars have played over there many years now and have the
routine nailed down.
2. The Ravens have lost their 6 year All Pro offensive lineman. The Ravens have
been successful running the football so far this year but now face the league's
4th ranked run defense without their best lineman.
3.
The Ravens defense has created 10 turnovers in 2 games. I know their defense is
much improved this year as I mentioned when I took them as underdog pick in week
1 but you can't keep relying on turnovers. The interceptions are definitely my
biggest concern with Bortles this week. A game manager as Jaguars QB would be a
much better option but if the game can remain close I think the Jaguars can
manage Bortles.4. The Ravens have the
Steelers next week at home and could be looking ahead.
5. The Ravens are 0-4 ATS in their last 4
meetings with the Jaguars.
Take the Jaguars and the points in a close one
