This is a new season, folks! And I think its gonna look a lot different than the last one, especially in the AFC West.

I know the Chiefs fans have enjoyed a nice little run with Alex Smith at the helm, but have also complained that he was way too conservative to lead them to the promised land. So they cut ties and have turned the reins over to a young gun that is at the opposite end of the risk/reward spectrum.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!

KC won a lot of games with Smith not turning the ball over - the single largest factor of victories in the NFL. This is going to change with Mahomes under center. He may have great upside down the road, but he’s going to turned the ball over . . . A LOT this year.

I think it starts in game one against a team with an improving pass rush.

I think this is the year that underrated Phillip Rivers has long awaited.

Oh ya - and the Chiefs defense is a smelly mess right now. I expect the Chargers passing game to have a field day come Sunday.
