NFL Underdog Pick Week 17
December 29th 2018 -
Special K
New York Jets (+13.5) at New England Patriots
If you have watched the Patriots over the years like I have, you can clearly see
that this year they are limping into the postseason. The Patriots teams of
the past would step on pedal and put teams like the Dolphins and Bills away to a
point where they would almost embarrass them. However, this year's team, let's
opponents hang around. Sure Gronk, Edelman, and Brady are all on the field but
they are not playing at 100%.
Now, there are reports surfacing that Brady has a knee injury. You can listen
more
here:
Listen, I know the Bills have a good pass defense, but how often do you see the
Patriots run the ball twice as much as pass it? When do you ever see Brady come
out of a football game with a few minutes left no matter what the score is?
I believe there is some truth to that report. Thus, the Patriots will put in
another workman like effort Sunday, get another win without risking Brady's
health and secure the 2nd seed. Therefore, I like the Jets and the 13.5 points.
Listen, the Jets gave them a battle back in New York but were limited on offense
with McCown.
Darold should be able to move the football better and score enough points to
keep this game close.
Take the points and the Jets
