NFL Underdog Pick Wildcard

Los Angeles Chargers (+2.5) at Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson has been a nice story this season, leading the Ravens to a 6-1
record down the stretch and to a divisional title. However, I don't think this
story is going to have a Tom Brady ending for Lamar.
This season belongs to Philip Rivers and the Chargers.
How good has Rivers been this season?
You have to include Rivers in the conversation with Mahones for MVP this season.
Rivers QB rating is the highest of his 15 year career.
His completion % is 2nd best and yards/attempt and TD passes is 3rd highest in
his career.
Listen, the Chargers were 4.5 point favorites in Week 16 and are now getting 2.5
points on the road, thats a 7 point swing in just two weeks with nothing much
changing between either team. A seven point adjustment in the spread doesn't
make that much sense to me. I would argue that the Chargers have been a better
team on the road than at home this year. On the road, Rivers led the Chargers to
two big comeback wins against the Chiefs and Steelers.
Remember in that week 16 game, the Chargers had just gotten Gordon back in that
game and Ekeler was out. This week the Chargers will have both running backs and
also get Hunter Henry back.
Henry will give Rivers and the Chargers another weapon on 3rd down and in the
red zone.
The Chargers defense also benefits from having played against Lamar and the
Ravens offense.
The Ravens have been much better playing the underdog role this season.
I look for Rivers to continue his magical season and pull out an upset win in
Baltimore this week.
I like getting an extra 2.5 points even more.
Take the points and the Chargers
