4-0 Kyle Allen versus the 6-0 49ers. I'm rolling with the Panthers in this one. The Panthers are coming off a bye and since 2015, the Panthers are 5-0 following a bye week. Christian McCaffrey the Stanford star returns to the Bay Area. McCaffrey leads the NFL in touchdowns this year and has improved his running through the tackles. McCaffrey should make enough big plays to keep the Panthers within striking distance. 5.5 points is just too many.

There is a reason the 49ers went out and got wide receiver Sanders. That position was their biggest weakness as a team and still is a concern. The 49ers offensive line is still banged up again this week. Granted the weather was terrible against the Redskins but the 49ers struggled in the red zone and I expect the same this week against a stingy Carolina defense who can get after a QB. I don't expect a big impact from Sanders after just being signed either.
