by Special K
Here are the top 5 performing rookies for the 1st quarter
of the 2007 season. These rookies have made a big impact so far for
their respective teams. Get these guys on your fantasy football team if they are
currently undrafted.
1. Dwayne Bowe (WR)
This first year wide receiver has shown great potential and he is needed
badly with Kansas City surprising having the worst running attack so far this
year. So far Bowe has 369 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. He has the
game winning touchdowns against both Minnesota and San Diego.
2. Adrian Peterson (RB)
The Minnesota running back has rushed for 383 yards and 1 touchdown, plus
pulled down 166 receiving yards with 1 touchdown. He has filled in nicely
for the injured Chester Taylor. A 60 yard TD reception against Atlanta in
Week 1 is his biggest highlight.
3. Marshawn Lynch (RB)
Lynch has filled in nicely for McGahee so far in 2007. He has piled up
373 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.
4. Nick Folk (K)
Folk's biggest highlight so far in 2007 was his last second 53 yard field
goal against the Bills on Monday night. The Cowboys finally have found a
kicker they can rely on.
5. Calvin Johnson
Johnson fits in perfect with Mike Martz's offense. So far in 2007 he
has 192 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. He should put up bigger numbers as the
year goes on.
