NFL Underdog Pick: Week 7

I really like the Chiefs to win at Oakland this week, however Old Man
Winner posted his article before mine and I have nothing more to add. So I
am giving you a bonus pick this week and choosing the Jets to easily cover the
spread against the Bengals. There is a good chance they could even win
outright. The only interesting trends between these 2 teams is that the Jets have won the last 6 meetings against the Bengals
dating all the way back to 1992.
It is simple for the Jets this week, just copy
the Chiefs game plan from last week. The Bengals
are giving up an average of 145 rushing yards per game. The key to the Jets
winning is ball control using Thomas Jones. This will keep Palmer and his
big play offense on the sidelines. Chad Pennington also has a lot to prove
this week, so I am expecting a solid performance (no INT's) from the veteran. Rudi Johnson is doubtful again for the Bengals
which makes their offense one dimensional and a bit easier to defense. |
