Wild-Card Predictions: Giants vs Buccaneers
January 3rd 2008 by Special K
NY Giants +3 vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Eli Manning has
yet to win a playoff game. In his short career, Eli is 0-2 so far in the
playoffs. The Giants have also lost 4 straight playoff games. Most teams
coming off an emotional and physical game against the Patriots the previous week
have lost their next game. This is exactly the type of adversity the Giants have
faced all year and have come out winners. Remember the Giants 0-2 start
and how people were beginning to write the Giants season off? Then there was
talk of another 2nd half collapse similar to the 2006 season and the Giants
pulled out road wins at Chicago, Philadelphia, and Buffalo. The Giants
have actually played much better football on the road this year. They went 7-1
away from Giants stadium this year.
After last week's close loss to the Patriots,
the Giants are a confident bunch who know they can beat anyone in
the NFL. When the Buccaneers lose, Jon Gruden is going to be
answering questions about why he rested his players starting in week
15 all the way into next season.
