We are into Week 5 of the 2008 NFL season and four
teams are still searching for their first victory. The Rams get the week off to
regroup after the firing of their head coach Scott Linehan. The Lions
fresh off the firing of Matt Millen look to knock off the Bears. The
Cincinnati Bengals have the toughest matchup as they play the Cowboys who are
coming off a loss to the Redskins. The Bengals acquired Cedric Benson this
week, a perfect fit for a team with personal issues. The Houston Texans finally get to play
a home game this season. The Texans look to take down the wounded Colts.
Finally, coming into the 2008 season, who would have ever imagined the Patriots
only being a three point favorites against the 49ers. That just shows you
how valuable Tom Brady really is.
Injury Update for Week 5:
The Seahawks will be getting some weapons back on offense this week in the form
of Bobby Engram and Deion Branch as they face the N.Y. Giants.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without Willie Parker and Rashard Mendenhall
(lost for season) leaving Mewelde Moore as their only healthy running back.
Look for Big Ben to be airing it out this weekend. Both Aaron Rodgers (shoulder) and Carson Palmer (hurt elbow) are also
questionable.
