After Week 2 of the 2009 NFL season, the Minnesota Vikings
and St. Louis Rams will be the only 2 teams left to not have played their home opener. Half of the
teams in the NFL are desperate to avoid starting 0-2 for the season as playoff chances are heavily diminished after an 0-2 start.
There are some great matchups this week and we start right off with the Dallas
Cowboys against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. The Giants would
like nothing more than to spoil the Cowboys home opener in the stadium that Jerry
built. The Cowboys have won 4 out of the last 5 regular season meetings.
The Steelers without Polamalu visit the Bears without Urlacher. Da Bears are one
of those teams that don't want to start the season 0-2. Jay Cutler and his wide
receivers had all sorts of issues against the Packers defense. Success will be
even harder this weekend against Dick LeBeau's Steelers D.
